Joe and Jenny brought their cat to their engagement session. That was the moment I knew they were going to be an amazing couple to work with! The day started off with cold weather and rain...but they say that's good luck, right?! We started the day at the Holiday Inn where Joe and Jenny were getting ready! We spent some time here photographing the little details of their wedding day and documented both Joe and Jenny getting ready to see each other for their "first look"!
Joe and Jenny - First Look
Before boarding the shuttle to Western Lakes Golf Club, Joe and Jenny decided have a "first look" with just the two of them! As a Wedding Photographer I am huge advocate for couples choosing to do a first look! This is for two reasons - 1) I think there is true and raw emotion when the groom gets to see his bride for the first time without the pressure of standing in front of everyone at the ceremony and 2) It gives us two opportunities for Bridal Portraits, if the weather or light isn't cooperating!
Joe and Jenny - Bridal Party / Bridal Portraits
There was a slight drizzle for most of the bridal party / bridal portraits but that definitely didn't stop this couple's shine! The furs, umbrellas, and slight mist added a great dimension and feeling to the pictures that really created the look and feel that Joe and Jenny had going into their day! They love to be outdoors (hunting, snowboarding, hiking, etc) so this weather and snow was a walk in the park!
Joe and Jenny - Ceremony / Reception
Western Lakes Golf Club was the perfect venue for Joe and Jenny's Ceremony and Reception! During the ceremony, Joe and Jenny planted a tree together that symbolized the love and connection that they both have and plan to share with each other for the rest of their lives. There was tears shed and laughter shared, creating the perfect Ceremony! After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour followed by dinner and dancing the night away!
