I’m just your average Midwestern guy who likes craft beer and traveling. I got into photography in college because I needed an easy A. (Should I be telling you this?) I signed up for photography and elementary art. Elementary art was literally me - a business major - plus one other guy and a bunch of super-organized girls. But as much fun as I had gluing tissue paper with pencil erasers (no seriously, it’s great), it was the photography class that really grabbed me.
By spring I was ready to test my new skillz. I bought a Rebel T3 with TWO LENSES and thought I was so cool. But it quickly turned into more than a cool thing to me - it became an obsession. I couldn’t get enough of learning and experimenting. I’d found my thing.
The typical story goes on from there. I started photographing my family and friends, and then their friends and their friends. (You'll probably catch more than a few photos of my two adorable little nieces on my Facebook feed. #prouduncle) The first time someone asked me to shoot a wedding I was nervous and excited, but more than anything I felt really honored.
I did that first wedding and fell in love with it. All of it. I like action, events, behind-the-scenes stories… this is the stuff wedding days are made of, right? Oh, and something about love? But seriously, I know enough to know the best marriages and families are built on friendship, and friends and family are everything to me. I’d be seriously honored to capture the intimate moments of your wedding day, and even more glad if we build a friendship in the process.
